Traditionally,
the groom’s parents serve as hosts for wedding rehearsal
dinner…and pay for the event. But individual circumstances should
always be considered.
Wedding
rehearsal dinner toasts are often humorous, breaking what can be
the tension caused by the anticipation of the wedding day.
The best man
traditionally makes the first toast to the bride and groom at the
wedding rehearsal dinner. Then the groom gives
a toast to his bride and her parents. Next, the bride gives a
toast to her groom and his parents. Then anyone else who wants to
toast the couple is invited to join in.
The wedding
couple usually presents gifts to the members of the wedding party.
Rehearsal dinners usually wind up early in the evening so
everyone, especially the bride and groom, can be well-rested and
relaxed for their wedding ceremony, wedding reception, and of
course, the honeymoon.
