Just as every bride has a partner, her groom, the wedding cake has a partner, the groom’s cake. Traditionally dark and dense (yes, chocolate!!!), the groom’s cake is smaller and often, at least partially, cut and wrapped for wedding guests to take home from the reception and enjoy later as they remember the beautiful wedding and festive reception. Slices of the groom’s cake are also sent to friends and fly who cannot be present at the wedding or the reception.
